Job Summary
We are seeking a dedicated Organ Donation Coordinator, who is either an ICU Registered Nurse or a Respiratory Therapist, to work 40 hours a week during night shifts in Boston, Massachusetts. The successful candidate will be integral to the organ donation process, collaborating with donor families, and engaging with various surgical teams as well as critical care units to ensure effective donation protocols are followed.
Responsibilities
- Coordinate and facilitate the organ donation process in collaboration with medical staff.
- Support donor families through communication and assistance during the donation journey.
- Work closely with surgical teams to manage logistics related to organ recovery.
- Utilize trauma experience to address critical care situations effectively.
- Ensure compliance with medical and clinical standards throughout the donation process.
Qualifications
- Possession of relevant certifications as an ICU RN, Critical Care RN, Trauma Nurse, or Critical Care Respiratory Therapist.
- Experience in critical care or trauma settings.
- Strong medical and clinical knowledge related to organ donation and transplantation.
- Excellent communication skills for interacting with families and healthcare teams.
