Job Summary
The Psychosocial Rehabilitation Technician plays a crucial role in supporting children’s emotional and cognitive development within a part-time capacity at a day treatment facility. This position focuses on helping children and adolescents with mental health challenges to enhance their social skills, self-awareness, and functional abilities.
Responsibilities
- Assist in the implementation of therapeutic and rehabilitative activities tailored to children’s specific needs.
- Facilitate group sessions and provide one-on-one support to encourage positive social interactions.
- Monitor and document patient progress, contributing to treatment planning discussions.
- Collaborate with multidisciplinary teams to create a supportive environment for all participants.
- Provide guidance and assistance during daily activities to cultivate independence and self-regulation.
Qualifications
- Experience in mental health, social services, or a related field.
- Understanding of child development and psychosocial rehabilitation principles.
- Strong communication and interpersonal skills to engage effectively with children and families.
- Ability to work collaboratively in a team-oriented environment.
- Relevant certifications or training in mental health or child development preferred.
