Job Summary
The RN – EP Laboratory role involves providing specialized nursing care in the electrophysiology lab setting. This position is critical for supporting patients undergoing electrophysiology procedures, ensuring that high standards of care are consistently maintained.
Responsibilities
- Deliver comprehensive nursing care to patients before, during, and after electrophysiology procedures.
- Collaborate with physicians and other healthcare professionals to ensure optimal patient outcomes.
- Monitor patients’ vital signs and manage their care requirements in a fast-paced environment.
- Educate patients and their families regarding procedures, recovery, and any needed follow-up care.
- Assist in the technical operation of electrophysiology equipment and maintain its safety standards.
- Ensure all documentation related to patient care is accurate and up to date.
Qualifications
- Current RN license in good standing.
- Experience in a cardiac or electrophysiology nursing environment is preferred.
- Strong understanding of electrophysiology procedures and protocols.
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills for patient interaction.
- Ability to work effectively in a team-oriented setting.
- Basic Life Support (BLS) and Advanced Cardiac Life Support (ACLS) certifications required.
