Job Summary
The PCU/Tele RN position is crucial for providing exceptional care in a Progressive Care Unit or Telemetry setting. The registered nurse will be responsible for monitoring patients with complex medical conditions, utilizing advanced medical equipment, and collaborating with healthcare teams to ensure optimal patient outcomes. Strong clinical skills and the ability to respond to patient needs promptly are essential for this role.
Responsibilities
- Deliver nursing care to patients in a telemetric setting, ensuring their safety and comfort.
- Monitor and interpret telemetry readings to identify any changes in patients’ conditions.
- Administer medications and treatments as prescribed by physicians.
- Collaborate with multidisciplinary teams to develop and implement patient care plans.
- Educate patients and their families about health management and follow-up care.
- Maintain accurate patient records and documentation in accordance with healthcare regulations.
Qualifications
- Current RN license and certification in the state of practice.
- Previous experience in a Progressive Care Unit or Telemetry nursing preferred.
- Strong assessment and critical-thinking skills.
- Ability to work effectively in high-pressure situations.
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
- BLS and ACLS certifications required.
